TEMPE – The No. 17 Sun Devil men's tennis team (13-5, 2-2 Pac-12) fell 6-1 at home in a Pac-12 matchup with No. 11 USC on Sunday afternoon. Tim Ruehl claimed the lone victory for ASU with a two-set victory at No. 3
The Sun Devils dropped the doubles point after losing on courts 1 and 2, Nathan Ponwith/George Stoupe being limited to one point and Andrea Bolla/ Christian Lerby falling 6-3.
After dropping the first two singles matches on courts 5 and 6, Ruehl defeated USC's Stefan Dostanic 7-6, 6-4 on court 3 to give the Sun Devils their first point and extend the match. The Sun Devils need the to win each of the three remaining matches, but came up just short, losing in tiebreakers in both sets on courts 1, 2, and 4.
